Preserving a Piece of History

August 25, 2008 - Spokane, WA. - The Nations first Presidential jet, SAM (Special Air Mission) 970, "QUEENIE," received a makeover, with portions of the preservation work performed by Spokane, WA based Trusted Detailing, LLC..

Trusted Auto Detailing was selected from thousands nationwide to take part in this historic project at the Museum of Flight at Boeing field in Seattle.

Since 1996 when Air Force One was donated to the Museum of Flight, some two million visitors have stepped back in history aboard the "Flying Whitehouse" that carried Presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon along with many National and World leaders. In 1959, President Eisenhower took the very first Presidential jet flight aboard this aircraft and called it "exhilarating".

The exterior work included a full cleaning of all surfaces and removal of oxidized paint, polishing and sealing of all painted surfaces. Trusted also performed full exterior details to restore the badly hazed aluminum back to its original reflective mirror finish.

"Trusted Detailing's ability along with their knowledge of high speed buffers was a major reason I selected them to be involved within this historic project" said Renny Doyle, Founder of Attention To Details, the company hired to provide the preservation work. "They are some of the most skilled detailers I have worked with and their commitment to providing top notch work was a chief reason they took part in this project", Doyle added.

The detailing project started on August 18, and was finalized on August 23, 2008. The selected team worked well over 700 man hours to complete the massive detailing job. Attention to Details staff, affiliates and additional team members traveled from across the country to complete this project.

Trusted Detailing opened at 3721 North Division in March of 2008 and quickly differentiated themselves from other detailers with the use of sophisticated digital technologies and environmentally friendly processes. Offering the only "green detailing" process in the Spokane area along with the latest odor removal and finishing equipment, Trusted Detailing has appealed to a demanding clientele of car owners including collectors, high-performance auto clubs and dealers.
