Testimonials
"Trusted Detailing's ability along with their knowledge of high speed buffers was a major reason I selected them to be involved with detailing Air Force One. They are some of the most skilled detailers I have worked with and their commitment to providing top notch work was a chief reason they took part in this project" Renny Doyle Attention To Details

"I drive a 1967 Camaro and 2005 Audi S4, so when it comes to detailing, I don't want harsh chemicals anywhere near my car. Trusted Detailing made my cars look better than ever, and didn't leave a toxic smell behind. The 'green' approach is definitely best for my car, as well as the environment." David Overton

"
As a member of the Spokane Model T Club as well as the INCC, I tried a new business called Trusted Detailing. They worked on my 1953 Chevy just prior to the Downtown Car Show. It never looked better "!
Suzie and I want to thank them for their work. Alan and Suzie Stacey

"These guys are the Best with great pricing" They've done 4 of my vehicles and I would never go anywhere else. All the services I've received have been flawless. I had all 4 vehicles detailed and two of them tinted. They don't need any excuses that time will make the wrinkles or air bubbles go away because there never are any. They get it done right the first time and at a great price and this spring I'm having them detail all 4 of my cars again. John Higgins

"I bought a brand new 2009 Civic LX-S recently. As I was really concerned about privacy and security in and out of my car, I carefully narrowed down which company I should take my baby for window tinting. Before I used their services, I looked up the pics that they have done for other customers' car and I question to myself, is it real? Are they doing that perfectly? Now, I can definitely say YES. They can help you get what you want and what you expect and even some addition you may not think of. If you got questions, don't be afraid to ask! They will do the best to help you and solve your problems. Trusted Detailing - It's a place that YOU can trust!"

"
I can't believe this !
I have a 1959 Chevy Corvair ($30,000 just on paint) and I heard about Trusted Detailing from other people who also have classic cars. I don't let anyone touch my cars (I have 19 classic cars) and I kept hearing about Trusted and how good they were. I took the chance and had them buff our $30,000 paint job and wow !" Joe

The old school way of detailing is to wash with a corrosive soap that removes existing wax and grime and buffing with a low speed buffer (no chance of burned paint) and a medium grade wax. This will take off most of the dirt but it won't correct all the scratches, swirles or clear coat problems. On the interior the old schoolers will spray a chemical on the inside then wipe down everything with a cheap rag before they apply an oily chemical like armorall which will make it shine nice but the dirt is just covered up.
|
Here's the "New School" way Trusted Detailing performs a detail:
Hand wash exterior of vehicle with an organic product to remove dirt and grime etc.. We do have a waterless hand wash system that we also use if needed and a mile soap if there is severe old wax build up.
After washing the vehicle we wipe the entire exterior with detailing clay to remove surface containments which began working there way into the paint the day the car came out of the factory. These impurities harden and adhere to your paint surface and can sometimes be very difficult to spot, especially if you wash your car regularly. It is very important that you remove these impurities before they become bigger problems. |
 |
Performing the clay bar therapy is remarkably simple but can become tedious and labor intensive if your vehicle is severely contaminated. |
 |
The next step is to measure the vehicles clear coat using one of the BESTpaint measuring devices you will ever see. This gage offers extreme accuracy with an instant readout and high resolution. The digital display eliminates guesswork of other devices and its precision is second to none. The PTG-3500 is made of a durable lightweight ABS plastic housing assuring long term durability and maintenance free performance for many years.
If required wet sanding can be done that will level and repair clear coat. Most people don't know that their vehicle will never have a 100% true shine until the clear coat is sanded so it's level.
|
Wet-sanding levels the paint (and removes orange peel, harsh acidic or alkaline marks, etc) it removes approximately 0.025- 0.003 Mils (a Mil is 1/1000th of an inch) of paint from the vehicle using 2000 grit finishing paper, Bear in mind that a clear coat has a thickness of 1.5 - 2.0 Mils, removing more than 0.3 - 0.5 Mils of clear coat may cause premature paint film failure. As a point of reference a sheet of Saran wrap measures 0.95 Mils.
After the clear coat is corrected we then buff the entire vehicle using high speed buffing machines. Using low speed is the "Old School" way because the detailer may not be professionally trained and low speed buffers prevent them from damaging the paint. The problem with low speed buffers is they won't produce a mirror finish like you see at car shows or on higher end vehicles. |

After the vehicle is buffed to perfection it's time for a wax or a sealer. The "Old School" way is to use a wax that has Carnauba. Carnauba Wax is obtained from the leaves of a palm tree known as Copernica Cerifera, which is also referred to as the "Tree of Life". This slow-growing Carnauba palm flourishes in the northeastern regions of Brazil, reaching an average height of 25-35 feet. It proliferates along river banks, streams and damp lowlands. Turtle wax contains about 5% Carnauba and high end waxes contain 30% - 50% Carnauba. If you insist we wax your vehicle we use a 60% Carnauba wax that is superior to all other waxes that we know of but this is "Old School". The best wax will protect a vehicles surface for about 3 months and the shine lasts for a few car washes. |
The new school method of protecting a vehicles paint and clear coat, and achieving a glossy mirror finish, is to use a clear coat sealer.
|
A good sealer offers:
- Unbeatable gloss, shine, depth, clarity and reflectivity
- Durability and protection that's out of this world
- Protection for six months to a year or longer
- Dirt, Dust and Grime Rolls Right Off
- More shine as the sealer cures on the paint

What is the difference between a wax and a polish?
Nearly all products on the market are called "wax" or "polish"
and contain polishing agents. Polishing agents remove paint and create
swirl marks on the painted surface. Fine polishing agents create fine
swirl marks and remove less paint. The swirl marks become very visible
after the wax wears off. At Trusted Detailing we use the only product in the
marketplace that offers long-lasting protection without damaging or
removing the clearcoat finish.

After a vehicles exterior is completed it's time for the interior.
The the "Old Schoolers" will spray a chemical on the inside then wipe down everything with a cheap rag before they apply an oily chemical like armorall which will make it shine nice but the dirt is just covered up.
Cut out the chemicals and the residues they leave behind.
Remember, the sooner you cut out cleaners on your surfaces, the sooner the residues will disappear. Soap residue attracts dirt and your car or other surfaces actually get dirty quicker. There is no purer clean than steam.
At Trusted detailing we strive to use new technologies and as few chemicals as possible. When chemicals are necessary we try to use 100% safe and organic compounds that don't damage your vehicle or our the enviroment.
